6th March 2013 - Trip to Norfolk to see Nelson's birthplace (2)- Burnham Thorpe. Getting wet and colder  and the roads in the Spitfire were a touch tricky - it is not suited to muddy country lanes!
Above is a picture of his birth entry at All Saints Church.
Below is the church itself and the car parked outside.
Now we have the plaque that marks where he was born... although apparently the locals dispute this as it is possible he was born at a house nearby. The Rectory itself was demolished in 1803, 2 years before the French got him. But, they lost.


He is my hero.
